Has vs. Have!

Many readers requested more grammar materials.  After working with students all day today, I noticed how many misuse "has" and "have."  Therefore, I created a fun activity to help address this grammar skill.

As you may know by now, I LOVE using visuals/posters to help with recall of rules.  This activity pack includes a rule poster that can be displayed while practicing.  Just print, laminate and hang!
Now onto the game to practice!  Students draw a card.  You can read it or they can read it themselves.  They must use their rules to decide if it is "has" or "have" that will complete the sentences.  If they draw an "A+" card, they get a bonus turn!!  The student with the most cards at the end wins!!!

I also love to include worksheets to help practice new skills.  This worksheet can be used as homework, review at the end of a session, or to assess recall in a follow up session.
To view more and learn more about this activity, visit my TpT store.  More activities like this will follow!

  1. I have a ton of students with this difficulty. This looks like a good game to teach the difference, though my favorite part is the follow-up worksheet.
