Spring Word Fun!

It is so cold out!!  I am trying to think warm thoughts and decided to finish my newest creation, Spring Word Fun!!  Check it out:

-Wh- Question Card Game:  Students will pick a card and answer the wh- question provided.  After accurately responding, the student can hold onto their cards.  If they pick the “lightning” card, they will lose a turn.  The student with the most cards at the end is the winner.

-Object Function Board Game:  Students will express functions of the objects provided while playing the board game provided.

-Context Clues Kites:  Students will pick a card and use the context clues to determine the meaning of the underlined/bolded word.  Each card has a point value (1-5).  Students will add up their points at the end of the game to determine a winner.

-Birdhouse Describing Fun: Use the visual provided to teach students how to describe.  Students should select a card and use the visual to describe it.  For each description said, they will earn a point.  Once the student runs out of describing words, they next student will get a turn.  At the end, all points should be added up to determine the winner.

-Expressing Multiple Meanings:  Students will pick a card and express at least 2 different meanings of the words provided.  After accurately responding, the student can hold onto their cards.  If they pick the card, “Spring Is In Bloom,” they get an extra turn.  The student with the most cards at the end of the game is the winner.
