What Parts Does It Have?!

Have fun building expressive and receptive vocabulary with this fun activity.   Teach students what parts objects have in a fun way! Can be used as a supplemental activity with the EET (expanding expression tool).

In this file:
-Matching Cards:  play memory matching games with these cards.  Students must match the object to the part it has.

-Naming Parts Game:  Students must pick a card and name the parts of the object listed.  Once they respond accurately, they can hold onto their card.  If they pick the “star” card, they get an extra turn.  The student with the  most cards at the end of the game is the winner.

-What Has This Part? Board Game:  Students must pick a card.  Each card will have a part of an object.  They must express what has this part in order to take a turn in the board game!  There are also “lose a turn” cards in there to make the game more exciting!

-Review Worksheet:  Students must match the objects to the part!

-Who Can Name More?:  Provide the worksheet to each student.  Then pick an “object” card.  They can write the object name on the top of the list.  Set a timer if you want to make the game harder.  Students can compete to see who can name the most parts of each object.  On the bottom of each list is a place for students to write their score.  The student with the higher score is the winner!
