Do you work with students that struggle with /r/? How about another sound and is started to become aware/embarrassed by it?? I recently learned of a new book, "Hooway for Wodney Wat" by Helen Lester. You MUST check it out!
This book is a great way to start a conversation that everyone is different. It will bring fun and laughter into your speech rooms. Your kiddos that struggle with the /r/ with love this book and the character portrayed. It is a great way to show them how it sounds when they misarticulate this sound. It is also a great book to recommend to classroom teachers if they are dealing with bullying in the classroom because of a student with speech difficulties.
