Like their other apps, you can use with multiple students at a time, alter settings to meet your needs, and individualize the activities for the different students you work with, even within one session!
Just enter a student's name, click on their name, and hit "next!"
Then...you can select the phoneme(s) for each student. I recommend sticking to one for each student at a time. It will go through one whole set before going to the next one anyway so might as well stick with one at a time.
When you click on a target phoneme, you are prompted to pick the position (initial, medial, final) and level (words, phrases, stories). You can also click/unclick targets that will be presented. This is good if you want to remove ones students have mastered, one hold off on words that contain sounds that the student cannot produce.
For each target, an interactive scene is presented. When you click the scene, a target word/picture is presented. Students can record their productions, play it back and score themselves (or you can do it for them). I like the option for "almost." You pick the pace, as you hit "next" when you ready to move onto the next picture/scene/target word. You can also always click the yellow play button on the bottom to have the word presented with a verbal prompt if they cannot read or identify the word by the picture.
You can always enter in "notes." This is great so you don't need a paper/pencil next to you to document errors or behaviors of the student.
The scenes keep varying which is great for keeping attention! I had so much fun checking out what the next one would be and what will the student have to do to get to the image!
You can keep going until all tasks are completed or you can always click "finish." At that point, a score report will be shown with the data. You can see the client, phoneme targeted, levels, score, see notes, and hear the audio! You can also see the word list worked on. I love Virtual Speech Center's apps because it stores the reports in the app and you can also email the reports! This is great for data keeping!
Check out the sentence level:
And the story level:
You can always access score reports the main page and view by goal or by date:
