Skill-Based Therapy Reference Guide!! (FREEBIE!)

I have seen a lot of posts on various Facebook groups about how to go about planning and how to make decisions on order of skills to work on.  People wonder if they should spend weeks or months on a specific skill.  I find it all depends on how often I see the students and what goals are needed in that group.  The first week I collecting baseline and assessing within each speech group where students fall on all possible necessary skills.  It takes time but I make it fun with "getting to know you" games.  I created a guide to help you if you wanted to address one goal a week.  I like to plan to do one goal a week but sometimes goals may take more than a week and I may not get to the later goals on the guide...those are like bonus skills!

I have provided this guide as a FREEBIE in my TpT store so you can have it as a reference guide.  Feel free to take ideas from it or use it as is.  Remember it is just a guide, not a must do!

I provided 40 weeks of skills to address.  I did not include theme based therapy within this guide since everyone starts and ends at different times.

I also provided a guide with my TpT products that go along with this skill-based therapy guide.  Again, I did not include my seasonal/holiday ones since I don't know when it will fall out.  You can grab this freebie by clicking HERE!!

Don't forget...there is a HUGE back to school sale August 3-4!! Use promo code BTS15 at checkout to get 28% off my entire store!!

  1. Do you have tips or forms your use to collect baseline during the first weeks?

    1. I use some of the tasks off my baseline data product in my tpt store....depends on the skill/age level. Sometimes I take a reading comprehension worksheet I find in a book that has a mix of question types. I keep it in their folder dated so I know that was what it was for.
