Wind Up Articulation DIY Fun!

I am always looking for more ways to keep my articulation students motivated.  Today, I took out a piece of poster paper, crayons, and a wind up toy!  I got this wind up toy several years ago at a Dollar Store.

First, I had my students draw and write words with their target sound.  Today, we are addressing /sh/ in all positions.  Then, they got to take turns using the wind up toy.  If the toy stopped on a word/picture, they had to produce the word in order to receive a point.  The student that reached 10 points first was the winner!!

We had so much fun today, I got administrators peaking their heads in as they walked by because they couldn't believe there as so much fun going on in my speech room!
