My Favorite Things: Laminator, Printer, and More!!!

I have had many ask what I use for various home office items.  I decided to write a blog post to share what I have and how I feel about them!

I recently (very recently) purchased a brand new laminator.  It was time, yes laminators have a long lifespan but mine was getting too slow for its own good.  It was time, so although it killed me to get a new one when my current one wasn't broken, I did it.  I am SO glad I did!  I recently got the Scotch Thermal Laminator, it ROCKS!  It heats up SO fast (the box says 4 minutes but it seems shorter).  You don't need the laminating pouch covers like my old one did.  Each page laminates in like less than a minute.  I laminated my entire Halloween WH Board Games and Compare Contrast Stories in less than 15 minutes start to finish!

One of my absolute favorite home office tools is my binding machine.  It is so handy!  I love to put my interactive stories together and other items.  It looks so clean and neat!  It is so easy to use!  It took some practice not going to lie but once I got the hang of it and didn't mess up the holes any longer, it really takes no time at all to use.  I usually bind things together while something else is going through the laminator!

First you use a lever to punch the holes and then you put the pages through the tabs on the bottom which has the binding plastic piece.  Insert them all in, then lift a different lever to close the plastic thingy (sorry for bad terminology!).

Ok, onto the crazy big item.  My printer.  Now, I must mention that in my family we print a lot.  My husband uses a printer often for work so it isn't just my office item.  With that said, I have the HP M475dn LaserJet Pro 400 Color Multifunction Printer.  This bad boy prints, scans (and emails the file to you), faxes, and gives back rubs (just kidding!).  It prints super quick and in full color.

I was very against this purchase when my husband made it but now that we have it, I cannot imagine my SLP world without it!  The ink is pricy but we only replaced it like once since we got it a couple years ago and we print A LOT!  Here is an Amazon link to the printer although we didn't buy it through Amazon.

Last but not least, I have a little tool that helps make cutting task cards less painful!  My paper cutter!  This bad boy makes a laser line which makes it easy to cut in a straight line.  I love being able to cut multiple pages at once.

So now you know some of my favorite home office tools!  These items help make my home prep faster and neater!
